Zack Martin, the talented guard for the Cowboys, has made the decision to retire from professional football.

At 34 years old, Martin informed the Cowboys of his intent to hang up his cleats, as reported by NFL Network.

Initially expected to hit free agency next month, Martin might have sought one last lucrative contract. However, following a season-ending ankle injury, he has chosen to prioritize his health and take a break from the game.

Drafted in the first round by the Cowboys in 2014, Martin has spent his entire NFL career with the Dallas team. He garnered recognition as a seven-time first-team All-Pro and earned a spot on the All-Decade Team for the 2010s. Additionally, he will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the Class of 2030.
