Following the recent launch of Grok 3, the latest AI model from Elon Musk’s xAI company, X has announced a substantial increase in its pricing for the Premium+ subscription plan, now nearing $50 each month.
According to the support page detailing X’s premium offerings, the monthly cost for the Premium+ plan in the United States has been set at $50, with an annual subscription priced at $350.
This marks the second price adjustment for the Premium+ plan by X within just a few months. In December, the company had already increased the fee from $16 to $22 per month. The current price hike more than doubles the cost for existing Premium+ subscribers.
Additionally, xAI is reserving certain features of Grok 3 behind a new offering called SuperGrok, accessible via the Grok application. Consequently, only select functionalities, such as “deep search” and “reasoning,” will be included for Premium+ plan users.
It’s important to highlight the discrepancies in X’s pricing structure: while trying to enroll in the Premium+ plan, the platform initially quoted a monthly fee of $39.83 (or $477.95 annually), but the final checkout displayed an annual cost of $395.

Furthermore, while the support page indicates the monthly fee as $50, the registration page suggests a charge of $48.40 per month, and the checkout page reflects a lower rate of $40 monthly.
