On Thursday, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared an exciting announcement on X about “the newest member of the family” arriving on February 19. Many believe it will be the fourth-generation iPhone SE. This budget-friendly smartphone was previously speculated to debut a week earlier; however, Apple’s focus shifted to introducing new Beats headphones instead.

It has been three years since the last iPhone SE was launched at a price of $429. This delay is notable for a device that holds significant importance in large markets like China and India. In this upcoming release, it seems Apple may finally eliminate the Touch ID home button in favor of Face ID technology, enhancing security and user convenience.

Additionally, the anticipated smartphone is expected to feature the same chip found in the iPhone 16, enabling it to support Apple’s new generative AI platform, Apple Intelligence. This launch will come on the heels of Alibaba’s recent announcement about collaborating with Apple to integrate AI features into iPhones for users in China.
