Greetings from the White House, where a continuous influx of reporters and staff is gathering ahead of a significant day for the Trump administration.
Today’s cabinet meeting is scheduled to commence at 11:00 EST (16:00 GMT) and will prominently feature Elon Musk, the tech entrepreneur now associated with Dogecoin.
Later this afternoon, at 15:00 EST (20:00 GMT), President Trump is anticipated to sign a series of executive orders, though the specifics remain undisclosed at this point.
Currently, that signing event is not open to the media. However, past instances show that events often become accessible to the press “pool.” For example, during a previous executive order signing, Trump dedicated about 45 minutes to answering press inquiries.
Additionally, today marks the first day wherein the press “pool” reflects recent changes that have allowed the White House to control which media outlets have access to Trump, taking over this function from the White House Correspondents’ Association after more than 100 years.
The outlets granted brief access to today’s cabinet meeting include conservative platforms such as NewsMax and The Blaze, while others initially slated to attend, like Reuters and the Huffington Post, have been excluded.
Stay tuned for further updates.
