The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an impressive $172 million for the upcoming drawing on Saturday, following a rollover from Wednesday’s draw where the top prize remained unclaimed.

Players who successfully match all six winning numbers have the option of a one-time cash payout of $79.4 million.

While no one took home the Powerball prize on Wednesday, a fortunate participant in Mississippi did win $2 million, as reported by the lottery officials.

In a noteworthy event, a lucky ticket holder in Oregon scored the first Powerball jackpot of 2025 with a stunning $328.5 million prize on January 18.
