Microsoft has recently encountered some backlash regarding the gradual release of classic Activision Blizzard titles to Xbox Game Pass. However, fans can look forward to more exciting news, as XboxEra has revealed that yet another iconic Call of Duty game will be added to the service sooner than expected!

Sources indicate that this next addition will be the 2009 classic, ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’, which is expected to become available on the subscription platform this March or April.
This information may sound familiar, as it was briefly mentioned by the reliable insider extas1s, who hinted at the arrival of a Call of Duty game on Xbox Game Pass in March without specifying the title. With so many Call of Duty games, it’s hard to keep track!

Call of Duty: World at War has been added to Microsoft Store for PC, and according to the listing, it doesn’t support achievements.
From what I understand, it will be available on Game Pass around May, the same month Singularity is supposed to launch. pic.twitter.com/VnXT4vG1y5

Moreover, extas1s also shared that Raven Software’s horror shooter, Singularity, along with the 2008 title, ‘Call of Duty: World at War’, are set for a May release on the Xbox Game Pass.
While ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ received a campaign remaster in 2020, it notably did not include its original multiplayer mode.
It appears that the steady influx of classic Activision Blizzard games is poised to continue for the foreseeable future. Are you eager to experience the original ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’? Join the conversation in the XboxEra Discord or participate in our forums!
