
Two small earthquakes shook the Malibu region on Friday and Saturday, followed by another tremor in the Inland Empire.
The first tremor in Malibu occurred at approximately 11:44 PM on Friday, registering a magnitude of 3.7. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, its epicenter was located about 6.8 miles northwest of Malibu. This quake was felt across various areas, including the Westside, San Fernando Valley, Ventura County, the Los Angeles Basin, and South Bay.
A second earthquake, measuring 3.5 in magnitude, struck the same vicinity at around 6:30 AM on Saturday. Residents in Ventura County reported experiencing a sudden jolt, which set off some car alarms in the vicinity.
Later that day, another earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was recorded near the San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside County at 2:16 PM. Its epicenter was situated several miles south of Idyllwild.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of damage resulting from any of these seismic events.
