Major Road Closures in Midstate Due to Flash Flood Warning

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Flooding in parts of Middle Tennessee has led to road closures on Saturday.

Montgomery County Updates

Clarksville authorities are advising residents to exercise caution while driving this Saturday morning due to ongoing flood conditions in the area.

The local police department has released images showcasing the rising water levels in susceptible regions, urging motorists to remain vigilant. Several counties in Middle Tennessee, including Montgomery, are under a Flash Flood Warning as of this morning.

Currently, the following roads have been closed due to flooding:

Trenton Road at Hayes Street
Madison Street near Porters Bluff/Golf Club Lane
Crossland Avenue at Richardson Street

The Clarksville Police Department posted on Facebook, “Drive carefully, slow down, and watch for possible flash flooding. Avoid crossing large puddles that may be deeper or more hazardous than they seem. If you come across flooded roads, please turn back.”

Road Closures in Sumner County

In Sumner County, several roads are also closed due to flooding:

7100 block of Old Gallatin Road
Pee Dee Branch leading to Jesus Reigns Fellowship Church
Liberty Lane off Upper Station
Upper Station towards Carellton
North Leath Road from Piper Road to the bridge
Leath Road from Highway 52 to the bridge
Old Wolf Hill from Box 172 to Wolf Hill Road

In Hendersonville, the intersection of Stop 30 and Drakes Creek Road is impassable due to flooding. Similarly, in Gallatin, Lower Station Camp Creek Road from Long Hollow Pike to Big Station Camp Creek Road is closed.
