Elon Musk has reportedly become a father for the 13th time with conservative writer Ashley St. Clair.

St. Clair, who has gained recognition for her appearances on Fox News and authoring a children’s book that critiques transgender and non-conforming identities, shared the news on Friday, revealing that she and Musk, 53, welcomed their child five months ago.

“Elon Musk is the father,” St. Clair stated on X, the social media platform founded by Musk. She added, “I had not shared this information earlier to safeguard our child’s privacy and well-being, but it’s become evident that the media is determined to expose this information, regardless of its potential impact.”

St. Clair expressed her desire to “foster a normal and secure environment for our child,” urging the media to “respect our child’s privacy and avoid intrusive coverage.”

“I wish I didn’t have to make a statement,” she wrote in another post. “Children should be off-limits.” She concluded by mentioning that she would be taking a break to spend time with family and disconnect from social media.

As of Saturday night, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX had not commented on St. Clair’s announcement, though he continued to share his conservative perspectives throughout the day on X.

Musk has six children with his former spouse Justine Wilson, including 20-year-old twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Saxon, Kai, and Damian, aged 18. He also had a son Nevada, who tragically passed away in 2002 at 10 weeks old.

With musician Grimes, Musk has three young children aged between 2 and 4: Techno, Exa, and Lil X.

Additionally, he shares 3-year-old twins with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, who reportedly had their third child in early 2024.

St. Clair’s announcement came just days after Grimes criticized Musk for showcasing their eldest son at the Oval Office, where he and President Donald Trump highlighted the launch of the Department of Government Efficiency. Trump had previously appointed Musk to oversee the agency, focusing on reducing federal spending.

“He shouldn’t be in public like this,” Grimes expressed on Twitter, clearly unhappy to learn about her son’s White House appearance through social media.
