Brandon Ingram has reached a contract extension agreement with the Toronto Raptors before even stepping onto the court for his new team. The forward is set to sign a three-year extension valued at $120 million, according to Shams Charania of ESPN, which will feature a player option for the 2027-28 season. Ingram, previously traded from the Pelicans to the Raptors just before last week’s deadline, was anticipated to enter free agency this summer.

Ingram has been sidelined due to an ankle injury since early December, leaving his debut for the Raptors uncertain. The 27-year-old was an All-Star with the Pelicans in 2020 and has consistently averaged over 20 points per game for the past six seasons. He recorded an average of 22.2 points per game in 18 matches for New Orleans this season before his injury.
