A conservative influencer has recently claimed that she is the mother of Elon Musk’s 13th child. Ashley St. Clair shared her story publicly for the first time during an exclusive interview on Saturday, detailing her alleged relationship with the billionaire owner of X, claiming that their connection began through direct messages.
During the conversation from her luxurious Manhattan apartment, St. Clair described Musk, 53, as “funny” and “down to earth.” However, she expressed that the billionaire preferred to maintain the confidentiality of their child’s birth for safety reasons.
Despite the circumstances, St. Clair, 26, expressed her joy: “My child is the most perfect thing that happened to me. I wouldn’t change anything,” she declared.
St. Clair made headlines on Friday when she revealed on X that she gave birth to Musk’s child five months ago. She stated that she felt compelled to disclose this information due to persistent inquiries from tabloids.
Musk has not officially responded to St. Clair’s claims, and his representatives have not provided any comments to The Post. Nonetheless, he has continued to post various updates on X since the announcement was made.
According to her representative Brian Glicklich, “Ashley and Elon have been in discussions about a co-parenting agreement for some time. It’s unfortunate that a tabloid reporter’s intrusive actions made it difficult to finalize this process privately.”
He added, “We look forward to Elon publicly acknowledging his role as a father, which would alleviate baseless speculation. Ashley trusts Elon’s commitment to reach a resolution that prioritizes the well-being and safety of their child.”
St. Clair revealed that their online interactions on X led to their first encounter in May 2023. “It began with funny exchanges, and I believe it started with a meme,” she recalled.
Initially, she didn’t hold much interest in Musk beyond his ownership of Twitter, which she was aware of through her “gay best friend,” who frequently encouraged her to watch SpaceX rocket launches.
St. Clair, who originally worked for the conservative satirical website Babylon Bee, was prompted to travel to San Francisco for a meeting with Musk shortly thereafter. She claimed she first met the billionaire at Twitter’s headquarters when she was 24 and he was 51.
According to St. Clair, the relationship evolved, and she became pregnant, but she was asked to keep the news confidential. “I was told to keep it a secret indefinitely,” she mentioned, declining to elaborate on the reasons for this secrecy or provide any concrete evidence that Musk is the child’s father.
St. Clair claimed that Musk provided her with an upscale apartment in the Financial District, where rents can reach nearly $40,000 for a two-bedroom unit, along with extensive security, but she insisted there was no romantic involvement throughout this period.
She described her pregnancy as one of isolation, saying, “I was completely alone during my pregnancy. Everything in my life changed, and I was instructed not to share my situation with anyone.”
Her Instagram activity also diminished as she stopped posting for months until she shared a photo related to President Trump’s inauguration in January.
Text messages reviewed by The Post between St. Clair and Musk’s money manager, Jared Birchall, suggest that she agreed to keep Musk’s name off the birth certificate to protect their privacy. Birchall, CEO of Neuralink, co-founded by Musk, did not respond to inquiries regarding this matter.
St. Clair reported receiving harassment from some of Musk’s fans who incorrectly assumed she had given birth to his child. “There has been a group of aggressive stalkers making threats to my toddler and sending me disturbing images,” she explained, visibly upset while discussing the safety of her older child from a previous relationship.
St. Clair shared that she had been willing to keep her newborn’s identity private, but heightened media scrutiny compelled her to come forward. This led to her recent announcement on X, where she criticized the tabloids for their intrusive behavior.
“I can’t stress enough how complex my situation is right now. I am saddened that I had to reveal this due to media pressure, but I do feel some relief because I’ve lived in secrecy for nearly a year,” she expressed. “It’s challenging as a mother to conceal the existence of my child, especially when chatting with loved ones and having to fabricate stories.”
St. Clair mentioned that she has not had any communication with Musk following her public disclosure, which wasn’t marked with a note of community review to prevent misinformation. She indicated that she did inform Musk’s team about her plans to post her claims on X prior to publishing them.
“He ignored it,” she claimed.
Regardless of the upheaval, St. Clair feels at peace with her choice to go public, hoping it will help her child lead a more typical life.
“Many of my relationships felt strained and dishonest because of my need to keep this secret. My baby has never had the chance to go outside for a walk in the past five months. I was always worried that someone would discover that I had a child,” she explained.
St. Clair did indicate that she has had brief encounters with some of Musk’s other children but has never met their mothers. However, she has spent time with Musk’s mother, Maye, who was unaware of St. Clair’s pregnancy.
Although St. Clair requested to keep her child’s name and gender confidential, she shared that both are healthy and thriving. “I am dedicated to being a good mother, and my children are my utmost priority,” she affirmed.
