Apple may be just a few months away from the much-anticipated release of the iPhone 17 series, and it seems that a notable redesign of its camera system could be in store. Recently, renowned leaker Majin Bu shared some CAD renders that potentially showcase the iPhone 17 lineup, which includes the standard model, the 17 Pro, the 17 Pro Max, and the speculated iPhone 17 Air. Interestingly, the latter three variants appear to adopt a Pixel-like rectangular camera setup.

The latest CAD images reveal that the rear camera bars on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have been elongated, extending their previously square design to span the entire upper section of the device. They maintain the smoother edges characteristic of the current iPhone models. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air design also features a similar camera bar layout, but it is equipped with only a single rear camera lens. The standard iPhone 17, according to these renders, will likely have a camera module that remains mostly unchanged, setting it apart from its more advanced counterparts.

While these leaked images are intriguing, it’s important to remember that they should be viewed with caution. The final design of the iPhone 17 will only be confirmed once Apple makes its official announcement later this year, which is tentatively scheduled for September.
