According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the announcement is part of a schedule packed with product news this week. “Earlier in the week, Apple introduced its Apple TV+ service for Android devices. Additionally, the Beats team debuted the Powerbeats Pro 2 with heart-rate monitoring. On Friday, media will be briefed on developments regarding the Vision Pro headset,” he noted.

Initially, Gurman suggested that the iPhone SE 4^th generation would be revealed during the week starting February 10, but he subsequently revised that estimate to indicate a reveal during the week commencing February 17, which appears to be accurate.

It seems likely that this timing was always Apple’s intention, suggesting that there has been no significant change in planning.
