The 2025 NBA All-Star game is evolving beyond the traditional East vs. West matchup, introducing a mini-tournament. Four teams, selected by basketball legends Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Candace Parker, will vie for the championship title. Of these, three teams are made up of seasoned professionals, while Parker’s squad consists of players from the previous day’s Rising Stars tournament. The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, February 16, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and truTV, featuring two semi-final games before culminating in a championship round at approximately 10 p.m. Each game is set to a limit of 40 points, presumably to ensure a swift pace and avoid outcomes similar to last year’s high-scoring game of 211-186. The NBA’s All-Star Weekend, hosted in San Francisco this year, will also showcase activities like the celebrity All-Star game, featuring talents like Shaboozey, Noah Kahan, and Walker Hayes. Additionally, there will be a Rising Stars competition on Friday and both the dunk and 3-point contests on Saturday, leading up to the championship on Sunday.
