Recent leaks featuring the Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro have surfaced, revealing striking images and videos that showcase the design and highlight essential specifications of both devices. At first glance, the two models seem nearly identical, with the exception of minor camera modifications and slightly varied rear camera aesthetics that help distinguish them.
Initially, Android Headlines released what appear to be official images of the two latest phones. Both the 3A and 3A Pro utilize Nothing’s signature semi-transparent design and Glyph lighting features in black and white options. The main distinction lies in their camera configurations: the 3A features three lenses arranged horizontally, while the 3A Pro adopts a more avant-garde arrangement, with the lenses and flash artfully positioned in a half-spiral within the circular camera module.
Subsequently, leaker Arsène Lupin shared apparent official reveal videos for both phones, offering insights into their core specifications while displaying the designs dynamically. Both models are suggested to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and feature the same impressive 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED displays.
Furthermore, both variants seem to come equipped with a newly teased button, which in the reveal videos activates an AI assistant and a feature dubbed “Essential Space” that organizes content and generates actionable insights. Essentially, this could serve as an AI-enhanced visual to-do list.
The only notable differences in specifications between the two phones pertain to their camera systems. They both share a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, but the other two lenses diverge. The Pro model incorporates a 3x periscope lens, while the 3A features a shorter 2x telephoto lens; however, both lenses maintain the same 50-megapixel resolution. On the front, the Pro continues with a 50-megapixel selfie camera, whereas the 3A reduces that to 32 megapixels.
These camera specifications align with some of the details confirmed by Nothing in a recent video, which showcased how the 3A series cameras compare to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Viewers quickly identified an error in the clip when the video touted the Nothing phone’s superior video stabilization, as the iPhone was using its ultrawide camera instead of the optically-stabilized main lens. Nothing acknowledged this mistake in a comment on the YouTube video.
“Hello everyone, we filmed across all lenses throughout the day (sometimes cycling one-handed on a bumpy road), and during editing, a clip captured with the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s ultrawide lens was mistakenly included in the video stabilization comparison instead of footage from its standard lens. There was no intention to mislead, and we will be more diligent in ensuring greater scrutiny in future comparisons. Thank you for holding us accountable!”
The highly-anticipated reveal of the new Nothing phones is approaching, with an official launch scheduled for March 4th, coinciding with Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress trade show. Unlike last year’s Nothing Phone 2A, which was only made available through a limited developer program in the US, it remains to be seen if the 3A series will enjoy a broader launch.
