Oleh Syniehubov, the leader of the Kharkiv region bordering Russia, commended President Zelenskyy following a tense dialogue with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance in the Oval Office.
“Our leader remains steadfast in advocating for the interests of Ukraine and its people, even under immense pressure,” Syniehubov stated.
In the Donetsk region, known for its fierce battles, regional head Vadym Filashkin declared that Ukraine’s success represents “a triumph for all democracies and for the civilized world as a whole.”
Regional leader Oleksandr Prokudin from the southern Kherson region, which faced extensive occupation in 2022 but has since seen partial liberation by Ukrainian forces, acknowledged the support from other European countries. He noted how three years of conflict have fortified the resolve of Ukrainians.
“We understand what pressure truly means—whether on the front lines, in the realm of politics, or in our everyday lives,” Prokudin expressed. “This experience has made us more resilient. It has reinforced our President’s resolve. Our determination is the driving force that propels us forward. I firmly believe we will overcome this challenge as well.”
