A recent report suggests that Spotify is set to introduce an enhanced audio quality subscription called “Music Pro” for an additional fee of $6 each month.
As reported by Bloomberg, Spotify is planning to launch the “Music Pro” tier later this year, fulfilling its long-standing promise to provide “Hi-Fi” audio that was initially announced back in 2021. Last year, some users briefly encountered “Enhanced” audio options in their accounts, although no formal announcement has been made yet.
The latest details indicate that Spotify intends to enhance “Music Pro” with features such as remixing tools, exclusive access to concert tickets, and higher-quality audio. The remixing functionality would allow users to mix tracks from various artists, possibly aided by artificial intelligence, while the subscription might also offer pre-sale tickets or upgraded seating at concerts, though specifics are still pending.
This new subscription tier could be added to Spotify’s existing plans at a cost of up to $5.99 more per month. Currently, an individual Spotify Premium membership is priced at $11.99 monthly, which means the “Music Pro” tier could result in a total monthly fee of $16.99.
