LOS ANGELES (AP) — On Wednesday morning, Slack, a popular workplace communication tool, experienced a significant outage, leaving thousands of users unable to access the service.
Headquartered in San Francisco, the tech company confirmed it was looking into the connectivity issues affecting Slack. According to an update on its official website, Slack identified problems with various API endpoints, including issues with sending and receiving messages and the loading of certain threads.
A Slack representative stated that progress on restoring functionality will be available on status.slack.com.
At the height of the outage, over 3,000 users reported difficulties accessing the platform, as noted by DownDetector. By mid-morning Wednesday, some services, such as group and direct messaging and emoticon reactions, began to recover.
