This week, we’re in Arlington for the seventh round of the Monster AMA Supercross, which promises to be a thrilling race for both the 450SX and 250SX classes. In the 450SX class, Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb are currently tied in points. Sexton has faced challenges in recent rounds, making critical errors that have cost him valuable positions. Conversely, Webb arrives with fresh momentum following his victory in Detroit, appearing to regain his form. The outcome of this race will be crucial, as the rider who performs best tonight will take the lead in points and gain a significant advantage as we enter the season’s second half.
In the 250SX class, we’re back on the West Coast, where the championship battle is incredibly tight. Currently, Julien Beaumer is in the lead, but he holds only a two-point advantage over Jordon Smith, who claimed victory the last time the West division raced. Just one point behind Smith is Haiden Deegan, making the competition among the top three riders exceptionally close with only three points separating them. So far, there haven’t been any repeat winners in this class, a trend that could very well continue in Dallas. Cole Davies has been outstanding in his rookie season, and during the last event for the 250SX West division, he won the first two main events in a triple crown format before an unfortunate incident caused him to crash in the third. With another Triple Crown format in play tonight, he has a great opportunity to seek redemption. Regardless of the outcomes, this evening promises to be pivotal for boosting momentum in the championship race.
