At the Six Invitational showcase, Ubisoft representatives Alex Karpazis and Joshua Mills shared that Siege X will not serve as a sequel or an extension but rather as a significant enhancement to the existing Rainbow Six Siege experience.

This is not Siege 2, nor is it merely another patch. It represents a substantial evolution.
We are enhancing and solidifying the core elements of Siege to keep it at the forefront of tactical PvP first-person shooters.
This involves substantial improvements in graphics and audio, a refined gameplay experience, and innovative ways to engage with the game, all while remaining faithful to what makes Siege so unique.
Karpazis added:
The advancements we’ve made are so significant that we can’t adequately convey them here at the Six Invitational.
