Raheem Mostert will not be returning to the Miami Dolphins for the 2025 season.
According to his agent, Brett Tessler, the Dolphins have decided to release Mostert.
At 32 years old, Mostert has one year left on his contract, but all guaranteed salary has been depleted. This move will allow Miami to save $2.9 million against the salary cap, incurring $1 million in dead money.
In the 2024 season, Mostert participated in 13 games, starting once, while De’Von Achane emerged as the primary running back. He concluded the season with 278 rushing yards and two touchdowns, along with 19 receptions totaling 161 yards.
Since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2015, Mostert has accumulated 3,791 rushing yards and 111 receptions for 899 yards, totaling 42 touchdowns. Notably, he led the league in 2023 with 18 rushing touchdowns and 21 overall touchdowns.
