Nvidia is set to release its RTX 5070 Ti at a price of $749 on February 20th, just one week prior to AMD’s upcoming event.
AMD has indicated that it won’t be going head-to-head with Nvidia’s top-tier graphics cards this time around. As a result, price remains a critical factor for AMD to leverage in its competitive strategy. The AMD Radeon 9070 series is reportedly aimed at matching the performance levels of Nvidia’s 4070 Ti and 4070 Super models, rather than exceeding them. Meanwhile, Nvidia, which recently reported an astounding $20 billion in profit in a single quarter, has the flexibility to adjust its pricing strategy if necessary.
Nonetheless, there are whispers suggesting that AMD might be developing an even more powerful graphics card beyond the RX 9070 and 9070 XT, potentially featuring 32GB of RAM. Frank Azor, AMD’s gaming marketing leader, has confirmed that the 9070 XT will not include a 32GB option, but he did not comment on the speculation surrounding this new card.
