Netflix has temporarily paused its trend of price hikes to clarify that it did not intend to introduce the desired Apple TV feature that users have been anticipating for years.
Earlier today, users of the Apple TV streaming device noted that content from Netflix was appearing within Apple’s TV app. This basic integration allowed Netflix movies and series to be added to Apple TV’s universal watchlist, giving viewers the ability to manage and continue watching their preferred shows.
However, just a few hours after its debut in the United States, the feature began to disappear. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg indicated that this integration might have been an error, though there is a possibility that actual support could be implemented in the future. In the meantime, The Verge reported that Netflix has confirmed this support for Apple’s TV app was unintended and not planned.
Netflix has a history of being hesitant with integration into Apple’s TV app, as it prefers to maintain complete control as the premier destination for streaming movies and television content.
In the meantime, it’s back to the usual Netflix price adjustments.
