Three buses have erupted in flames in Bat Yam, located south of Tel Aviv, an incident that Israeli authorities are treating as a “suspected terror attack.” According to officials, explosive devices on two additional buses failed to detonate. Large police contingents are currently present at the sites, conducting searches for any potential suspects.

In light of these events, Transport Minister Miri Regev has ordered the suspension of all bus, train, and light rail services across the nation to facilitate thorough inspections for explosive devices, as reported by Israeli media.

Videos circulating on social media depict at least one bus engulfed in flames within a parking facility, with a substantial column of smoke billowing into the air.

At this moment, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries, according to police sources. Local media has indicated that one of the unexploded devices, which weighed approximately 5 kilograms, bore a message alluding to “Revenge from Tulkarem,” likely in reference to a recent Israeli military counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank.

In response to the situation in Bat Yam, Defence Minister Israel Katz has instructed the Israeli military to escalate operations in refugee camps within the West Bank. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is receiving regular updates on the evolving situation from his office.

Authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the affected areas and to remain vigilant for any suspicious objects.
