At just 25 years old, Åberg has rapidly risen to become one of the premier golfers in the world. After a break for knee surgery, he made his return to the PGA TOUR last fall, featuring a new driver in his arsenal. Known for his cautious approach to changing equipment, Åberg utilized his time away from the competitive scene to experiment with Titleist’s newly launched GT2 driver, which hit the market in summer 2024. This club made its debut in his bag during three rounds at Torrey Pines, but Åberg opted to switch back to his trusty Titleist TSR2 for the final round. That decision proved fruitful as he went on to secure his second TOUR victory in San Diego, with both drivers fitted with a Fujikura Ventus Black 6X shaft.
