At just 36 years old, Kellen Moore has taken on the role of head coach for the New Orleans Saints, making him the youngest head coach currently in the NFL. He believes this youthful perspective provides a distinct advantage.
Moore emphasized the “tremendous value” he brings to the table when connecting with players who are not significantly younger than himself. In fact, it’s possible that the Saints may field a player older than Moore this season.
He reflected on his history of maintaining strong relationships with peers, noting his journey from being the backup quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys in 2017, to becoming the quarterbacks coach in 2018, and subsequently the offensive coordinator in 2019.
Next season, when the Saints face off against the Seattle Seahawks, Moore will go up against Pete Carroll, who will make history as the oldest head coach in NFL history.
