The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to bring a multitude of enhancements, according to insider source Setsuna Digital.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has garnered a reputation as one of the most exceptional foldable smartphones available today; however, it falls short compared to its competitors. Recent leaks have hinted at subtle design changes for this upcoming version, though the latest reports indicate that these alterations will extend beyond mere aesthetics.
Setsuna Digital reports that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will introduce several modifications, including an enhanced display. While specifics are scarce, earlier leaks suggest it will feature larger main and outer screens, similar to the special edition of the Galaxy Fold.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 may showcase an improved display along with a revamped main camera system.
The tipster also mentions a new hinge mechanism along with modifications to the internal structure, supporting earlier rumors that the device will feature a more durable and smoother hinge design.
Foldable devices generally do not provide the same level of protection against dust and moisture as traditional smartphones. For example, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers IP48 ratings for dust and water resistance, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts an IP68 rating. It is expected that the Fold 7 will come with enhancements for dust and water resistance, though it remains unclear if this will translate into a higher IP rating.
Furthermore, Setsuna Digital claims that the Fold 7 will include an improved under-display camera, which would be a significant upgrade over the Fold 6’s mediocre camera performance. Surprisingly, this model will still adopt under-screen camera technology, unlike the Special Edition that opted for a different approach.
The Fold 7 is also rumored to feature a new main camera following three years of using the same 50MP sensor. Given its price tag of $1,900, the camera performance has lagged behind that of the leading camera phones, which may play a part in its slower sales. A prior leak indicated that the device might include a 200MP primary camera.
The battery capacity is expected to remain at 4,400mAh, although there may be an increase in charging speed. While Samsung currently leads the market, its share is shrinking, especially with Apple set to launch its devices in this segment next year. To maintain its competitive edge, Samsung must continue to innovate and enhance its offerings.
