
UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – On Sunday morning, the FDNY reported that two individuals at a Manhattan urgent care center may have been exposed to an infectious disease.
The incident occurred at the CityMD facility located on East 125th Street, situated between Lexington and 3rd avenues, around 11:15 a.m. Emergency responders evaluated and treated the patients at the scene, subsequently transporting them to a nearby hospital with the usage of personal protective gear, according to fire officials.

Officials confirmed that the disease was not Ebola after consultations with the New York City Department of Health, as stated by the FDNY.
Details surrounding the patients’ conditions and the specific disease involved remain unclear.
“Neither patient had exposure to Ebola or other risk indicators,” reported New York City Acting Health Commissioner Dr. Michelle Morse on X. “The NYC Health Department is actively coordinating with FDNY, CityMD, and NYC Health + Hospitals.”
