As excitement builds around classic The Sims titles, The Sims 4 is rapidly evolving. Although we have pointed out some performance issues on the PS4—hoping for a dedicated PS5 version— the upcoming Business & Hobbies expansion promises to deliver a lot of fun and excitement.
This expansion centers around the concept of business, enabling players to establish their own enterprises within the game. You have the option to charge Simoleons for entry or service by the hour, and choose whether to hire external staff or keep operations family-run.
You can decide to run a legitimate business or explore a more dubious side; however, unethical practices could impact your Sims’ lives beyond the workplace.
A standout feature of this expansion is its integration with existing content, meaning that players can open a tattoo studio or pottery class by default. If you also own the Cats and Dogs expansion, you can add a pet café to your list of possible businesses.
Moreover, other potential ventures include dance clubs (Get Together), karaoke bars (City Living), acting schools (Get Famous), laundrettes (Laundry Day), bowling alleys (Bowling Night), and spas (Spa Day). For dedicated fans of The Sims 4, this expansion opens the door to a vast array of business possibilities.
The installation will also introduce a brand-new world called Nordhaven. Players who pre-order before April 18th will receive exclusive bonus items, such as the Practice Makes Perfect Priscilla Statue, the Sweetest Treat Display Case, and the Beautiful Flaws Lamp.
Mark your calendars for the release on March 6th, and stay tuned for an in-depth gameplay trailer coming soon. Have these updates inspired you to dive back into your old Sims save? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
