Philadelphia, famously known as the City of Brotherly Love, is gearing up to honor the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory on Valentine’s Day.

During an interview on WIP, Eagles president Don Smolenski announced that a parade will take place through the heart of Philadelphia this Friday. The celebration’s scheduling had to be adjusted due to an impending winter storm that is forecasted to hit the area on Tuesday and extend into Wednesday, coinciding with the Eagles’ second championship title.

“We have confirmed Friday as the date for the celebration,” Smolenski stated. “While we may organize something with the city tomorrow, we officially declared Friday as the day. We’re monitoring the weather closely, given that snow is on the way this week. We want to be considerate of the city’s needs, and an extra day for planning will allow us to ensure a fantastic kickoff to the weekend.”

The city officially announced the parade date on Monday and promised that additional details about the event will be shared shortly. While the previous Super Bowl LII celebration featured a famous address by center Jason Kelce, who has now retired, this year’s festivities will shine the spotlight on new faces.
