The Philadelphia Eagles have officially appointed their new quarterbacks coach.

Bowling Green University has announced that head coach Scot Loeffler will be departing to join Nick Sirianni’s coaching team. Doug Nussmeier, who previously held the quarterbacks coaching role for the Super Bowl champions in 2024, accepted a position as the offensive coordinator with the New Orleans Saints under Kellen Moore.

Loeffler will collaborate closely with Kevin Patullo, who took over as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator after Moore’s departure, aiming to maintain Jalen Hurts’ stellar performance that contributed to the team’s Super Bowl victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

During his six-season tenure at Bowling Green, Loeffler recorded a 27-41 record, leading the team to bowl game appearances in each of the last three years. His previous NFL experience includes a stint as the quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions in 2008, followed by a role working with Tim Tebow as part of Urban Meyer’s staff at the University of Florida.
