For those exploring the world via Google Earth, there’s often an abundance of captivating images and hidden phenomena waiting to be discovered through satellite imagery.

Recently, YouTuber MrMBB333, with his intriguing channel name, claimed to have spotted a 400-foot-long ‘ice ship’ on the surface of Antarctica.

In a video uploaded in 2021, he mentions that this curious structure was located approximately 100 miles off the coast of Antarctica, just under New Zealand. The video states that this finding was made on August 7, 2020.

The YouTuber remarked, “This object measures over 400 feet – precisely 428 feet. Whatever it is, it resembles a ship. An ice ship, or whatever you want to call it; it definitely looks like a 400-foot yacht resting off the Antarctic coast.”

While the structure does bear a resemblance to a ship, it’s important to note that there is no concrete evidence to confirm its identity. It could very well be a sizable ice formation that merely resembles a vessel.

The video’s claims have sparked a range of theories among viewers. One individual speculated, “The 50-foot ‘cylinder’ could be a booster rocket that re-entered the atmosphere, as numerous rockets have been deployed to launch satellites into orbit.”

Another commentator mused, “That ship might have found its way there from the Bermuda Triangle.”

Yet another viewer suggested, “Could the ice have melted in the area where the ‘ship’ is located? This could be revealing shipwrecks beneath the surface.”

However, some skeptical commenters have revisited the coordinates and dispelled this theory. One user pointed out, “The ice surrounding the islands melts during the summer, so if it were a boat, it would be gone by now. Zooming in shows that it’s nothing beyond a large chunk of ice.”

This isn’t the first unusual sighting to emerge from Antarctica through Google Earth. A few years back, many believed they had discovered a ‘hidden pyramid‘ among the ice, which later turned out to likely be just another mountain.
