Tides of Annihilation is an exciting new action game that merges the vibrant landscapes of modern London with the timeless tales of Arthurian Legend. This intriguing title was unveiled during the recent PlayStation State of Play event.
Though it carries a distinctly British flair, the game is being developed by the Chinese studio Eclipse Glow Games. It promises to sit alongside renowned Asian action titles such as Lost Soul Aside, Stellar Blade, Phantom Blade Zero, and Black Myth: Wukong.
Featuring a fantasy aesthetic reminiscent of Elden Ring, the game is set in contemporary London, where players control the character Gwendolyn, who possesses the power to summon spectral Knights of the Round Table. Be sure to check out the trailer below.
The developers have promised to feature iconic landmarks throughout the game’s environment, as the city faces a dramatic transformation due to an otherworldly invasion. Gwendolyn emerges as humanity’s lone survivor in this gripping narrative.
Players can expect thrilling confrontations against towering bosses, ancient knights, and formidable beasts, employing a dynamic combat system that seamlessly combines melee attacks, magic, and summoned creatures.
With so much happening within the gameplay, the action is presented in a visually striking manner.

With numerous action games on the horizon this year, Tides of Annihilation distinguishes itself through its innovative aesthetic and fresh take on Arthurian mythology.
“Revealing Tides of Annihilation at Sony’s State of Play is an immense and gratifying achievement for the Eclipse Glow team,” expressed Kun Fu, the lead game producer at Eclipse Glow Games.
“This is just the beginning, though. We have crafted a world that reinterprets Arthurian Legend, weaving together themes of bravery, loyalty, and heroism in an epic adventure set within a fantastical yet familiar backdrop that will challenge the skills of dedicated gamers and advance the genre forward.”
While a specific release date has yet to be announced, Tides of Annihilation is expected to launch on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (available on both Epic and Steam platforms).
