Monty, a magnificent giant schnauzer, clinched the title of Best in Show on Tuesday evening at the prestigious 149th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

“He always puts in so much effort, and I couldn’t be prouder of him,” expressed Monty’s owner and handler, Katie Bernardin, during an interview with Fox Sports 1.

Making history, Monty is the first giant schnauzer to ever take home this honor at the event, which was held at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, known as one of the oldest and most enduring sporting events in the United States.

This year, over 2,500 dogs from all 50 states participated in the show, showcasing their exceptional talents and beauty.
