Ashley St. Clair recently thrust herself into a high-profile controversy by alleging she is the mother of Elon Musk’s 13th child, claiming that the billionaire has not acknowledged the baby.
The technology mogul and chief of the Department of Government Efficiency is no stranger to managing multiple obligations, yet his intricate romantic history has often been likened to the dynamics of an imperial court, rife with deception, jealousy, and struggles for influence.
St. Clair, 26, made her claim public after noticing Musk, 53, showcasing his other children and their mothers during various appearances.
Before this revelation, St. Clair was recognized as a vocal conservative commentator on X, known for her bold opinions — such as her remark that then-Vice President Kamala Harris “can’t help herself from bending over for a man to get ahead.”
Now, St. Clair seems to be vying for Musk’s attention, despite his well-documented desire for a large family and his public outings with his son, X Æ A-12, whom he shares with pop artist Grimes.
Notably, X Æ A-12, affectionately referred to as “Lil X,” has frequently accompanied Musk in public over the past year. The four-year-old even captured attention during his father’s appearance at Donald Trump’s inauguration, showcasing his playful spirit.
Recently, he also made headlines during a visit to the Oval Office, sharing the spotlight with Musk and Trump as they signed an executive order.
Another of Musk’s children’s mothers, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, has also been spotted by his side at numerous events, engaging with her two kids and X while Musk held discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The situation between St. Clair and Musk has escalated in recent days, with St. Clair revealing to The Post that she has received threats and harsh criticism from Musk’s followers.
While Musk has yet to directly confirm St. Clair’s assertions regarding their child, he remained surprisingly silent on X following a weekend of intense activity.
Romantic Entanglement
Despite it being Valentine’s Day, St. Clair expressed a lack of affection when she took to the Musk-owned X platform to declare that Musk is the father of her baby.
St. Clair, who formerly contributed to the conservative satire site The Babylon Bee, claimed she gave birth last fall.
In a following interview with The Post, she portrayed Musk as “down to earth,” suggesting he wished to protect their son’s privacy.
However, in a turn reminiscent of a soap opera, a social media clash between Musk and St. Clair developed, with Musk responding to accusations that St. Clair had spent five years trying to “ensnare” him by simply stating, “whoa.”
In a now-deleted message, St. Clair accused Musk of not communicating with her and publicly addressing “smears” circulating online.
The unfolding drama has attracted criticism from several female conservative influencers. “Trad wife” H. Pearl Davis sarcastically celebrated St. Clair’s revelation with, “Congrats on single motherhood!!!”
Columnist Bethany Mandel further ridiculed St. Clair’s situation, posting a screenshot of her X response to Musk and advising, “I strongly recommend having a baby daddy who lives in your house, so that you don’t have to tweet him.”
Musk’s Expanding Family
In total, Musk is known to have had at least 12 children with four different women over the past 22 years.
His various romantic escapades have been compared to the relationships of Imperial Chinese concubines, with Grimes even acknowledging these parallels with a simple “lol” in response to a viral thread on X.
His first child, Nevada Alexander, was born to ex-wife Justine Wilson in 2002 but sadly passed away at just 10 weeks old.
Musk would later have five additional children with Wilson, including twins Vivian and Griffin in 2004, and triplets Damian, Kai, and Saxon in 2006.
Vivian publicly came out as transgender in 2022 and chose to legally change her name to omit the Musk surname.
According to Musk’s biographer, he has alleged that Vivian holds “communist” views and believes wealthy individuals are inherently evil, blaming her progressive education in California.
Musk’s romantic involvement with actress Amber Heard lasted intermittently between 2017 and 2018 after they met at the previous year’s Met Gala. Musk described this relationship as “brutal” and “mind-bogglingly painful” before they parted ways due to their demanding schedules.
He began dating Grimes in 2018, and two years later, they welcomed their first child, Lil X, marking Musk’s seventh child.
Musk and Grimes are also parents to two other children: daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, born in 2021, and son Techno Machinus, born in 2023.
Legal documents from Travis County, Texas, revealed that in 2021, Musk fathered two children with Zilis, a Neuralink executive, and, in 2024, they welcomed a third child, details of which remain undisclosed.
Since St. Clair’s revelations, Musk has largely refrained from commenting on the baby drama on X, choosing instead to share updates about his latest chatbot iteration, Grok.
Expressing his aspiration for a sizable family, Musk acknowledged in a July 2022 X post that he is “doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis,” dubbing the declining birth rate as the greatest threat to civilization.
Many fans have welcomed the notion of Musk’s growing family, with some humorously referring to his latest child as merely another of his “side quests,” a comment that elicited laughter from the billionaire.
In October, a report by the New York Times indicated that Musk had acquired a vast 14,000-square-foot property in Austin for his children, along with adjacent properties for two of the three mothers of his children.
