Apple is set to reveal the highly anticipated update to the iPhone SE, its first since 2022, in just a few days. With this announcement, we can more confidently predict its official release date. This reliable information stems directly from a recent post on X by Apple itself.
Could this be the introduction of the iPhone SE 4?
Apple
Apple’s recent post on X features a cryptic message from CEO Tim Cook: “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family. Wednesday, February 19.”
In the past, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated the fourth-generation iPhone SE would debut this week, but later adjusted his timeline to suggest the launch is now set for next week.
It seems likely that this was always Apple’s intended schedule, and it shouldn’t be interpreted as a delay or change in strategy.
Although the announcement does not explicitly name the device as the iPhone SE 4th generation, it could suggest that it might be branded differently. This speculation lies in the new design hinted at, with an Apple logo presented in a liquid metal style. While it could potentially be an iPad or a MacBook, I am confident that what we’re really seeing is the new iPhone.
Upcoming Schedule for the iPhone SE Launch
Wednesday, February 19: Unveiling of iPhone SE
Currently, there’s no official event planned; typically, invitations would have already been sent if there were one. While there’s no fixed time for the announcement, it’s most commonly anticipated at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, 1 p.m. Eastern Time, or 6 p.m. U.K. Time.
We are eager to discover the new design, name, and pricing of the iPhone SE, which will likely be shared through a post on Apple’s Newsroom site.
Friday, February 21: Pre-Orders Begin
I expect pre-sales for the iPhone SE to open early on that Friday.
Tuesday, February 26 or Wednesday, February 27: Reviews Released
The first reviews of the iPhone SE should start to appear around this time, depending on when the embargo is lifted.
Friday, February 28: Official Release Date
This date will mark the official launch, and I anticipate it will be a significant day for Apple enthusiasts.
Should there be any updates, I will make sure to revise this post accordingly.
