The Eagles’ victory in the Super Bowl on Sunday night proved to be a significant boost not only for the team but also for the official NFL merchandise retailer.
According to Sports Business Journal, Fanatics reported that sales of Eagles-themed gear following their triumph in Super Bowl LIX shattered two records.
Firstly, the Eagles set a new record for merchandise sales within the first 24 hours after a Super Bowl victory. Secondly, they surpassed all sports teams’ sales in that same timeframe, previously held by the Dodgers after their 2024 World Series win against the Yankees.
Currently, the Eagles also maintain the overall record for Super Bowl champion merchandise sales, dating back to their first victory in early 2018. Fanatics indicates that the Eagles are on track to exceed that record.
Since the celebration commenced, Fanatics has successfully distributed championship merchandise across all 50 states and in over 60 countries worldwide.
Additionally, there is a considerable amount of pre-production champion gear available for the Chiefs, which will be donated to charity. Perhaps in the future, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni will find a playful way to lightly tease the Chiefs with it.
