Pedri expressed his mixed emotions regarding the thrilling 4-4 draw with Atletico Madrid that took place in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday.
Barcelona initially fell behind 2-0 but made a remarkable comeback to lead 4-2, only to see Atletico fight back to equalize in an unforgettable first leg.
Pedri showcased his brilliance once more for Barcelona, sharing his thoughts on the match:
“It’s not the worst result we could have achieved. We’ve experienced something similar in the league where we let a victory slip away. These are lessons we need to learn,” he commented in the post-match interview.
“I believe we performed well against Atletico in both encounters. Although we started with a setback today, I’m proud of how the team responded.
“When we take the lead, we need to stay composed and play strategically. I feel valued within the team, but I prefer to see the team succeed and have the focus on our collective performance.”
“We’re determined to advance. We have complete faith in our squad. The next match will be challenging, but we’re ready to give it our all, that’s for sure.”
The semi-final tie remains finely balanced, with Atletico set to enjoy home advantage in the return match on April 2.
