Additionally, new release windows for highly anticipated games were announced. The 2.5D action-platformer Hotel Barcelona, a collaboration between renowned designers Suda51 and Swery, is expected to drop in 2025, while Ratatan, the spiritual successor to Patapon, will be launching this year. In the more immediate future, Tron: Catalyst, an isometric action game developed by Bithell Games, is set for release on June 17, shortly followed by Herdling, an atmospheric puzzle game developed by the creators of FAR: Lone Sails.
In other news, the captivating solarpunk road trip simulation game Outbound is set to be released in 2026, alongside the slice-of-life record store simulation game Wax Heads. Additionally, the visually stunning Woodo, a diorama puzzle game, will launch on Xbox at the same time as its PC release.
To top it off, the latest ID@Xbox showcase debuted two new titles. The first, Rockbeasts, immerses players in a narrative-driven music RPG where you manage a band of animal rock stars from the ’90s. The other premiere was The Lonesome Guild, an action-RPG featuring a ghost guiding a band of quirky adventurers through a decaying world.
However, the standout title from today’s showcase was undoubtedly Echo Weaver. This 2D “Metroidvania” title, initially previewed in 2024, continues to impress with its innovative gameplay, requiring players to unravel secrets while managing sinister time loops. Created by the developers behind the beautiful adventure The Wild at Heart, it promises to be a remarkable gaming experience.
