Steve Smith Sr., a former All-Pro wide receiver, has recently been embroiled in controversy following allegations of infidelity that surfaced in now-deleted posts on X.
In a series of claims made by an individual named Tony Martinez, whose handle was @Lambeaughini, Smith is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with Martinez’s wife, who is reportedly a member of the Marching Ravens, the official marching band of the Baltimore Ravens.
The account shared screenshot evidence of explicit text messages purportedly exchanged between Smith — now an NFL Network analyst and a family man with four children — and Martinez’s spouse.
A video linked to the account features a man purportedly calling Smith to address the allegations.
During the call, the individual recording confronts the person on the line about the affair, asking, “What do you have to say for yourself?”
Following a brief silence, the voice on the other end simply replies, “Sorry.”
As the caller pressed for more information, the conversation fell silent, and the call was ultimately disconnected.
In 2000, Smith, now 45, married his wife Angie while he was in his final year at the University of Utah.
As of now, Smith has not publicly responded to these allegations.
The X account that shared these claims has since been removed.
Smith enjoyed a stellar career as a wide receiver with the Carolina Panthers for 13 seasons, earning five Pro Bowl selections, before concluding his professional journey with the Ravens over three seasons, wrapping up in 2016.
As a former third-round draft pick, Smith amassed a career total of 14,731 receiving yards along with 81 touchdowns.
