The Tesla Cybertruck’s tailgate has been described as “a perfectly flat, light-colored rectangle with sharp edges — essentially a projector screen,” according to Rachel Maddow. This unique characteristic makes it an appealing target for TikTokers engaging in mischievous antics, as they seek out these vehicles to project messages against Elon Musk.
Maddow highlighted a new trend emerging on TikTok, where individuals are reportedly cruising around at night in search of Tesla Cybertrucks to display their anti-Musk sentiments on the tailgate. In her segment on Friday, she referred to the Cybertruck as “the most recalled truck of 2024.”
Among the messages shared by Maddow was one that read, “No, the price of eggs isn’t dropping, but the value of this piece of junk sure is.” Another quipped, “Hey, don’t blame me. Musk sold me this S-Box.”
These messages often dive into Musk’s personal life, with Maddow noting, “There are quite a few that I shouldn’t share on TV, including several crude jokes about what this large truck might be compensating for.”
Musk’s name has been a focal point in recent conversations, particularly as rumors swirl about his growing influence in Trump’s administration. On Thursday and Friday, journalist Seth Abramson, known for his biographies on Musk, took to X to dismiss claims of the billionaire’s extraordinary intelligence.
“As an Elon Musk biographer, I estimate his IQ to be between 100 and 110,” Abramson stated on X. “There is no evidence in his biography suggesting a higher IQ. I want to emphasize this now, so there’s no mistake. There is no proof from his life history that Musk has an IQ above 110.”
Furthermore, he noted, “Intelligence does not equate to having simply thrown money at a politician to gain influence and further your own business interests, which you’re aware you didn’t build the success of—hence the need to manipulate their patents to disguise that reality.”
He added, “If you ascribe intelligence merely to wealth, you might as well be in a cult. Associating intelligence with the ownership of a successful business, where you play more of a hindering role than a beneficial one, is also a cult-like perspective.”
