Charles Barkley has responded to Draymond Green’s criticisms regarding the NBA’s revamped All-Star game format for 2025. Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the new structure.
Green has voiced concerns about the inclusion of the Rising Stars team in the All-Star games, arguing that since they aren’t officially considered All-Stars, they shouldn’t be part of the event. Additionally, he disapproves of the four-team tournament format and the rule that declares the first team to score 40 points as the winner of each game.
Check out the video featuring Green’s comments below.
Draymond Green: “You work all year to be an All-Star and you get to play up to 40 and then you’re done… Come on, what are we doing? This is ridiculous.”
Adam Lefkoe: “On a scale of 1-10, how do you feel about the format?”
Draymond: “A zero. It sucks. This isn’t basketball.” #NBA pic.twitter.com/L7dlhwLprm

Barkley, appearing frustrated with Green’s outcry, called him out for complaining about the modifications to the format. He offered a compelling argument, suggesting that players from Green’s era contributed to the lack of competitiveness in the All-Star game, and now, he is criticizing the league for attempting to revitalize the event.
Charles Barkley: “I’m going to disagree with Draymond A LOT… They messed the game up!.. His generation messed the game up!… We’re trying everything possible to make this weekend exciting.” #NBA https://t.co/v7CYFf3kFG pic.twitter.com/QiltQVt0RZ
