WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. — A significant accident caused a closure of Hillsboro Highway in Washington County on Sunday evening, according to local deputies.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Burkhalter Road and Hillsboro Highway (Hwy 219).

Deputies from Washington County have shut down the highway in both directions, diverting traffic around the scene of the accident.
