10:10 Games has announced job cuts following the “total commercial and critical failure” of Funko Fusion.
As reported by Insider Gaming, anonymous sources revealed that the tepid response to Funko Fusion hindered the UK studio’s ability to secure funding for future projects, leading to the unsettling news that there “isn’t enough work for the entire team.”
Insider reports suggest that minimal severance packages were provided, with only “the bare minimum” entitlements made available and payment for any unused vacation time. Speculations arise that this led to pressure on employees to exhaust their leave before the announcement.
As a result, some team members received notices regarding their job security while on leave. In certain cases, employees felt compelled to participate in discussions about their roles at the studio despite being on holiday, regardless of the time zone they were in.
One source remarked, “Management appeared eager to conclude the process swiftly, and despite expressing openness to suggestions and feedback, none of it seemed to be acknowledged.”
While unverified, it is believed that approximately 20 individuals were affected by the layoffs, adding to the estimated 900 developers who have faced job losses across the gaming industry in 2025 alone.
