
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — In the final Cup practice session at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, Brad Keselowski recorded the fastest lap, clocking in at an impressive 193.307 mph while driving in a draft.
Following close behind was Alex Bowman, who registered a speed of 193.274 mph. Cole Custer finished with a lap time of 193.212 mph, while Justin Allgaier and Kyle Larson followed at 193.204 mph and 193.195 mph, respectively.
Justin Allgaier is behind the wheel of the No. 40 car for JR Motorsports, marking the inaugural Cup entry for JRM and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Out of the 41 cars set for the Daytona 500, twenty-four participated in Saturday’s practice session, which was free of any incidents during its 50-minute duration.
The green flag for the Daytona 500 is expected to wave at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday.
