After a series of playful exchanges, Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill are preparing to settle the score on the track.
The renowned Olympic athlete and the wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins recently disclosed to People Magazine that they are set to race. This highly anticipated event is expected to occur in the upcoming spring or summer.
While the exact location and race distance have not yet been finalized, Hill humorously stated to People that Lyles was hesitant to participate in a 40-meter sprint, whereas Lyles claimed that a 100-meter race would be a “blowout.” As a compromise, Lyles suggested they could “meet in the middle” regarding distance.

This exciting development comes after months of friendly banter between the two athletic stars.
Following the Paris Olympics last August, Hill declared that he would triumph over Lyles in a race and even challenged him to officially sign for a 50-meter sprint. In September, Lyles disclosed on “SportsCenter” that discussions were underway for a 60-yard dash.
According to People, the urgency to finalize the race increased after Lyles playfully called out Hill following his victory in the 60 meters at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix earlier this month in Brighton, Massachusetts. After the race, Lyles displayed a sign that read “Tyreek could never,” prompting an amusing response from the eight-time Pro Bowler on X, where he remarked, “Get a load of this guy.”
Now, it seems both athletes are ready to put their rivalry aside and take to the track.
