With the latest update, Android 16 Beta 2, Google has introduced a “Switch users” widget designed specifically for Pixel devices.

As you explore the Widgets menu, you’ll find a new entry labeled “Users,” distinguished by its vibrant blue Pixel background. This section contains the “Switch users” widget, which enables quick user transitions.

This user-friendly widget, also known as “Switch user” in the top-left corner, can be expanded to occupy your entire home screen. It provides a grid or list view of users, including a Guest account, available on your smartphone or tablet.

By tapping on a prominent profile picture, you can easily switch to the selected user. Additionally, a gear icon in the corner allows access to Settings > System > Users.

This widget offers a simple and effective solution, particularly useful for Android tablets that are shared among family members. Its design prioritizes user convenience and is reminiscent of the straightforward Simple View, contrasting with the Quick Settings approach.
