According to her parents, 12-year-old Adaline Deal has been denied a heart transplant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital because of her vaccination status. Her mother, Janeen Deal, stated that the hospital did not accept their request for a religious exemption, which they argue contradicts their beliefs as nondenominational Christians.

Dr. Camille Kotton remarked that unvaccinated patients like Adaline face heightened risks of infection and death, stressing the critical role of vaccinations for transplant patients.

The Deal family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to find a transplant center that does not impose vaccination requirements, successfully raising over $50,000 to date.
